    Ice Skating

The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park, presented by Discover Financial Services®, will operate from November 15 through February 2, weather permitting. Admission is free, though reservations are required. Reservations can be made starting two weeks prior to each session. For more details and to make reservations, visit Ice Skating at Millennium Park.

The rink offers free “Learn to Skate” lessons, supported by the McDonald’s Active Lifestyles Endowment managed by the Millennium Park Foundation, in partnership with the Chicago Youth Foundation. Lessons, which require reservations, are available for all ages and skill levels—beginner, intermediate, and hockey skills—and will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Helmets are strongly encouraged for beginners, and skate rentals are free for lesson participants.

For accessibility, both electric and manual wheelchairs are allowed on the ice when accompanied by a skater. You can receive additional accessibility information by contacting DCASE at DCASE@cityofchicago.org.

Weather-related closures will be posted on Millennium Park’s Facebook and Twitter/X pages.
